So. It’s 1am and I have been staring at my ceiling for the past twenty minutes trying to think of some blog posts I can write in November. I have just finished a reread of a favourite series of mine (will be mentioned below) and I thought to myself. Hey, you know what I love in books? The found family trope. And that is how this post began and hopefully, it will become a thing most Thursdays with different topics/tropes etc. So without further ado, here are some of my favourite books with the found family trope.
When we talk about found family, we mean people who are not blood family, but who a person forges deep and meaningful bonds with based on things like shared values, mutual care and support, understanding, unconditional love, and positive regard.

So November appears to be a big month in the publishing world, especially November 5th as you will soon see, so I thought I’d put together a small list of some books being released this month. Of course, these aren’t all of them but these are the ones that I’ve either been anticipating or have caught my eye recently. I hope you find something that captures your attention! Although my plans for reads this month were originally supposed to be horror based, I then remembered I’m the biggest mood reader so that swiftly went downhill. However, I did read some creepy books this month and I may carry it on into November (which is also my birth month woop!) So here is what I read this month – Continue reading “Blogtober // Angharad’s October Wrap-up”
One of my favourite things about the Autumn months is seeing the gradual shift in bookstagrammer’s posts – seeing the orange tones creep in, the leaves arranged around their books, hot chocolate with whipped cream and even some pretty fairy lights. Although there are so many amazing, inspiring people posting photos that fit this brief, I am going to share some of my recent favourites with you all! Continue reading “Blogtober // Favourite Autumn Themed Bookstagrams”
When the weather starts getting bad (or good depending on which way you look at it) there’s nothing better than grabbing a blanket, a hot drink and a book to curl up with. A ‘cosy read’ can, of course, depend on the person but these are the books that came to mind when we heard the word. Continue reading “Blogtober // Favourite Cosy Reads”
So for today, I am going to be sharing with you some Halloween/autumn inspired creations I have found by some amazingly talented people! I think we should all aim to support independent creators over popular shops and these are some of the favourites I have found so go and show them some support! Continue reading “Blogtober // Creepy Creations”
As you may or may not know, when I’m not reading, I’m probably gaming. I’ve been an avid gamer for years and despite not playing a lot of horror games perfectly (bloody anxiety) I have watched a lot of playthroughs and have a few favourites I’d like to share with you! Continue reading “Blogtober // Horror Game Recommendations”
