9 Books For the Winter/Christmas Season

Untitled-1.jpg

Before we begin, the Two Book Thieves are now the Two and a Half Book Thieves as my wonderful co-blogger, Becky welcomed little Maisie into the world! (x) So whilst Becky is enjoying her mini-me, I’ve decided to write up a little post featuring some books with the wintery, Christmassey vibes. This was actually harder than expected however, I hope you find something you like the look of! Continue reading “9 Books For the Winter/Christmas Season”

Blogtober // Favourite Cosy Reads

When the weather starts getting bad (or good depending on which way you look at it) there’s nothing better than grabbing a blanket, a hot drink and a book to curl up with. A ‘cosy read’ can, of course, depend on the person but these are the books that came to mind when we heard the word. Continue reading “Blogtober // Favourite Cosy Reads”

Book Recommendations // #AceAwarenessWeek

This week from the 20th to the 26th of October, we are celebrating Ace Awareness Week which is a week dedicated for all those who identify as asexual, aromantic, demisexual, aroace and so on to come together, support each other, help each other and also spread awareness. Being demisexual myself, I knew I had to post this week and I have chosen some books with asexual and aspec characters in! I won’t be giving full descriptions of the books but rather that identities are represented in each!

Blogtober // Book Recommendations for the Practical Witch

So we have chosen our favourite fictional witches and their stories but how about those non-fiction witches? Some of these books deal with feminism and inner peace as well as other important topics! There are a lot of books that suit my witchy soul but here are some of our favourites.

Blogtober // 2019: The Year of the (Fictional) Witch Part II

Near the start of the year, I put together a list of witchy upcoming releases that were high on my TBR. I really loved putting this list together, so decided to do a second part! View part one here.

Some of these books are already released and a couple were actually released closer to the beginning of the year – however, I wanted to include them since I wasn’t aware of them when I wrote part I!

Book Recommendations // Greek Mythology

Untitled_Panorama1.jpg

A huge passion of mine for a few years now has been Greek Mythology. I’ve always loved any kind of mythology but nothing captures my attention as much as Greek mythology. Here I’ve combined two loves – books and mythology to share some of my recommendations with you. Two of these are non-fiction and the rest are fictional retellings. Not included but I’d still definitely recommend The Iliad & The Odyssey but don’t feel like you need to read these in order to understand retellings. I hope you find something you love and if you have any recommendations, please leave them below.  Continue reading “Book Recommendations // Greek Mythology”

Recommendations: Autumnal Spooky Reads

So despite having a lot of books to study from now on (I started an A-Level English Literature!!) I still want to dedicate October and November to some atmospheric, creepy reads. This post was inspired by one book in particular, The Silent Companions, which I talk about below. I’ve added a few others, some I’ve read, some I haven’t and I hope you can find something to suit you! If you have any other reads you think are perfect for this time of year, please leave them below!
