Before we begin, the Two Book Thieves are now the Two and a Half Book Thieves as my wonderful co-blogger, Becky welcomed little Maisie into the world! (x) So whilst Becky is enjoying her mini-me, I’ve decided to write up a little post featuring some books with the wintery, Christmassey vibes. This was actually harder than expected however, I hope you find something you like the look of! Continue reading “9 Books For the Winter/Christmas Season”
When the weather starts getting bad (or good depending on which way you look at it) there’s nothing better than grabbing a blanket, a hot drink and a book to curl up with. A ‘cosy read’ can, of course, depend on the person but these are the books that came to mind when we heard the word. Continue reading “Blogtober // Favourite Cosy Reads”
This week from the 20th to the 26th of October, we are celebrating Ace Awareness Week which is a week dedicated for all those who identify as asexual, aromantic, demisexual, aroace and so on to come together, support each other, help each other and also spread awareness. A huge passion of mine for a few years now has been Greek Mythology. I’ve always loved any kind of mythology but nothing captures my attention as much as Greek mythology. Here I’ve combined two loves – books and mythology to share some of my recommendations with you. Two of these are non-fiction and the rest are fictional retellings. Not included but I’d still definitely recommend The Iliad & The Odyssey but don’t feel like you need to read these in order to understand retellings. I hope you find something you love and if you have any recommendations, please leave them below. Continue reading “Book Recommendations // Greek Mythology”
So despite having a lot of books to study from now on (I started an A-Level English Literature!!) I still want to dedicate October and November to some atmospheric, creepy reads. This post was inspired by one book in particular, The Silent Companions, which I talk about below. I’ve added a few others, some I’ve read, some I haven’t and I hope you can find something to suit you! If you have any other reads you think are perfect for this time of year, please leave them below!
