Top 5 Thursday // Found Family Trope

Untitled_Panorama1.jpg

So. It’s 1am and I have been staring at my ceiling for the past twenty minutes trying to think of some blog posts I can write in November. I have just finished a reread of a favourite series of mine (will be mentioned below) and I thought to myself. Hey, you know what I love in books? The found family trope. And that is how this post began and hopefully, it will become a thing most Thursdays with different topics/tropes etc. So without further ado, here are some of my favourite books with the found family trope.

When we talk about found family, we mean people who are not blood family, but who a person forges deep and meaningful bonds with based on things like shared values, mutual care and support, understanding, unconditional love, and positive regard.

November Releases // 2019

Untitled-1.jpg

So November appears to be a big month in the publishing world, especially November 5th as you will soon see, so I thought I’d put together a small list of some books being released this month. Of course, these aren’t all of them but these are the ones that I’ve either been anticipating or have caught my eye recently. I hope you find something that captures your attention! Blogtober // Angharad’s October Wrap-up

Untitled_Panorama1.jpg

Although my plans for reads this month were originally supposed to be horror based, I then remembered I’m the biggest mood reader so that swiftly went downhill. However, I did read some creepy books this month and I may carry it on into November (which is also my birth month woop!) So here is what I read this month –  Continue reading “Blogtober // Angharad’s October Wrap-up”

Blogtober // Creepy Creations

So for today, I am going to be sharing with you some Halloween/autumn inspired creations I have found by some amazingly talented people! I think we should all aim to support independent creators over popular shops and these are some of the favourites I have found so go and show them some support! Book Recommendations // #AceAwarenessWeek

This week from the 20th to the 26th of October, we are celebrating Ace Awareness Week which is a week dedicated for all those who identify as asexual, aromantic, demisexual, aroace and so on to come together, support each other, help each other and also spread awareness. Being demisexual myself, I knew I had to post this week and I have chosen some books with asexual and aspec characters in! I won’t be giving full descriptions of the books but rather that identities are represented in each!

Unboxing // Fairyloot’s September ‘Witches Be Crazy’ Box

So it has actually been over a year since I last treated myself to a Fairyloot box but when I saw the September theme was Witch related, I just had to get it. I can safely say that Fairyloot have improved so much over the past few months and I love every item this box included. Of course, there are spoilers below so quickly depart if you haven’t received your box yet! Continue reading “Unboxing // Fairyloot’s September ‘Witches Be Crazy’ Box”

THE OSEMAN VERSE BOOK TAG!

Untitled_Panorama1.jpg
It’s time for another edition of ‘I don’t know what to post and I’m in a slump so here’s a book tag!’ Ok, but in my defence, the lovely Layla recently created this tag and it’s just so good that I knew we had to take part! It has also inspired us to try out creating our own tag so keep an eye out for that! Fan art credits will be linked at the end of the post! So without further ado, here’s our answers – Continue reading “THE OSEMAN VERSE BOOK TAG!”

Angharad’s August 2019 Wrap Up

Untitled_Panorama1

Is it just me or did August fly by? It’s scary how quickly this year is going however, that does mean we’re going into my favourite time and season of the year! I’m so excited for it all to get cosy again so I can stop living in a constant ball of sweat. Lovely imagery, I know. Ok, so this month I managed to read 12 books. Not as many as last month but I’m still happy. It would have been thirteen but I did DNF one book this month which is actually rare for me but something I need to start doing more often. So here’s what I read in the month of August! –  Continue reading “Angharad’s August 2019 Wrap Up”

Favourite Books in My Collection | Part I

IMG_3960.jpg

So I’ve been having a near-enough breakdown over the past few weeks over my book collection. I am running out of room even though I have bookshelves in pretty much every room of my house, I don’t know how to organise them plus I’m still adding to my collection. However, whilst sorting out my books, I’ve found a few that I realise I treasure for various reasons and I thought I’d share them here. These are books that I have read and loved (minus one, bear with me) and decided to pick up a ‘special’ edition of.  Continue reading “Favourite Books in My Collection | Part I”

Co-Owning a Book Blog

Untitled_Panorama1.jpg

Hi guys!
So recently on Twitter we’ve seen a lot of people asking questions about co-blogging or looking into finding a co-blogger. Since it seems to be a popular topic at the moment, we thought we’d do a little FAQ on the topic. We’re not experts but we have both been blogging here together for a few years now, so we think we can definitely give you an insight into it! If you have anymore questions we don’t cover, feel free to ask in the comments.
