I can’t believe we’re almost in July already and over halfway through 2019 now. Here’s a little review of what we’ve read and loved so far this year, what we’ve not enjoyed so much, and what we’re looking forward to in terms of reading for the second half of the year.
Thank you to Chicken House books for sending over a copy in exchange for an honest review. Continue reading “The Cantankerous Molly Darling by Alvy Carragher // Blog Tour”
‘Harvey Anderson is a twenty-six-year-old street performer from New Jersey. He likes his peaceful life, but everything he knows is turned upside down when he is abducted and beaten by a group of nondescript thugs. Working for a sinister man known as “The Spider,” these goons have spent the last nine years searching for Harvey’s girlfriend, Sally Starling. Now they think they know where she lives. And who she loves.
There’s only one problem: Sally is gone and Harvey has no memory of her. Which doesn’t make any sense, until The Spider explains that Sally has the unique ability to selectively erase a person’s memories. An ability she has used to delete herself from Harvey’s mind.
But as Harvey recovers from his beating, he discovers that Sally left him with one partial memory… a dancing girl in a blue dress.
Life isn’t peaceful for Harvey anymore, and he soon finds himself in a war he can never win.
Or can he?’
So after being in a bit of a reading slump for the past few months, I thought I’d take a minute to organise my summer TBR to hopefully help myself get back on track. Not only are there a lot of amazing books coming out this summer, but I’ve bought so many during the start of this year that I still need to read!

Today as part of Hodder’s blog tour for the books UK paperback release, I’m talking about Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor. Laini is one of my all time favourite authors so I’m really excited to be a part of this tour!
This review is spoiler free for Muse for Nightmares but may contain spoilers for Strange the Dreamer.
