Best autumnal themed book cover?
A:
I’d choose The Deathless Girls for the darker side of Autumn colours
B:
Probably the cover for An Enchantment of Ravens!

Which fictional friend group would you trust with an Ouija board?
A:
Hmm, I’m gonna go for the Gangsey from The Raven Cycle
B:
I’m not sure I’d trust them with one, but I think the gang from The Devouring Gray having access to an Ouija board would make for a funny story!

Which book setting would you love to be celebrating in during Halloween night?
A:
Please don’t expect me to say anything other than Hogwarts/Hogsmeade
B:
I always thought that the village of Near in The Near Witch would be the perfect spooky, atmospheric place to be in for Halloween.

Best autumnal food description inside of a story?
A:
*Insert a book here where they eat pumpkin at some point*
B:
I actually can’t think of any specifically autumnal food descriptions but To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is packed full of the most amazing sounding bakes and cakes, and who doesn’t love baking at this time of year?

Which fictional character would you dress as?
A:
I’ll pick Nova from Mooncakes. I love her little witchy style.
B:
The first character that came to mind for me was Nina Zenik!

An antagonist you would pledge your allegiance to?
A:
I haven’t read a really good antagonist for a while so I’m gonna go for an oldie and say Rhysand.
B:
Am I really going to say The Darkling for this one? It looks like it…

The creepiest book you’ve ever read?
A:
The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell
B:
I can’t necessarily think of the creepiest, but one that unnerved me a lot more than I expected it to was The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw.

A book you’ve yet to read but will read this October?
A:
There might be an echo in here but Ninth House also!
B:
Honestly, this month I’m just really excited to read Ninth House.

Which fictional character would you put in charge of the decorations for a Halloween party?
A:
Before Becky gets there, I’m gonna say the women of Other Words for Smoke – as witches I think they would smash some decorations for Halloween.
B:
I’d probably give this job to Zuzana from the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy – although she might not be the most organised, she’d definitely be creative and creepy with it!

love,
Angharad & Becky
