Blogtober // Bec’s October TBR

Hi guys!

Last October we had such a great time posting all things spooky, we decided to do it again this year! I thought I’d start off with my October TBR – I’m aiming to only read seasonally appropriate books this month and they’re all ones I’ve either had on my TBR for a long time or recently come across and have been really excited about straight away.

The Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones

I recently received an ARC of this through a trade and it sounds like the perfect atmospheric read for October. The main characters are gravediggers in a town once home to the fae, where the dead don’t always stay dead.

The Babysitter’s Coven by Kate Williams

This one is definitely aimed at a younger YA audience, but I’m loving all of these cute witchy books coming out this year. Esme has a babysitters club, and leads a seemingly normal life apart from the destruction that seems to follow her – and the new girl, Cassandra, who’s desperate to join Esme’s club and has a lot more in common with her than either girl realises…

Toil & Trouble: 15 Tales of Women & Witchcraft by Tess Sharpe

I’ve had this book sat on my shelf for a few months now and I think it’s about time I start it! This is a collection of YA short stories all based on witches, all written by diverse, feminist authors.

The Bone Garden by Heather Kassner

Titan sent me this creepy little book a while ago, and I think it’s about time I get stuck into it!

Hex Life: Wicked New Tales of Witchery by Christopher Golden

Another set of witchy short stories that I’m planning to read this month! This book was gifted to me by Titan Books.

Since I finish work for maternity leave this month, I am hoping to get more read, so I’ll see how this TBR goes!

What are you reading this October?
Love,
Becky
